FibreCAT SX80 iSCSI device unavailable

Postby Huracan on Tue Sep 08, 2009 16:22

Hi, I am installing a brand new rack with two Primergy RX300 S4 diskless connected to a FibreCAT SX80 iSCSI single controller but I have a big problem.
I created 3 Virtual Disk, several volumes and LUNs mapped to the desired host ports.
The installation of Windows 2008 Standard x64 with internal Broadcom iSCSI boot firmware was done and now I can see all my LUNs on Disk Manager except for one LUN: I tried to recreate the VD and the Volume, map to the other server, rescan the disks, restart the FiberCAT but nothing happened.
I tried to initiate the connection with my notebook but in iSCSI Initiator Properties/Targets/Details/Devices/Device Name the only thing I can see is an Unavailable Device and nothing in Disk Manager.

Does anybody help me?
Thanks

Reading a previuos post with a similar problem, I solved changing virtual disk owner from controller B to controller A (strange thing that Virtual Disk owned at setup by a non existent controller)
